Mahalia Jackson and Sam Cook made another powerful impression on her at an early age. Then in her teens she heard Odetta, Richie Havens and Joan Baez. This was the beginning of her love for acousitc music. Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Randy Newman, Elizabeth Cotton,
James Taylor and Keb Mo are artist who has made an inspiring impact in her musical career..

A quote from the heart:
I am encouraged when I have given someone a great experience and a wonderful moment to remember. When I perform, I love to watch the faces of those in the audience. It energizes me and keeps me going forward with my art and my life.
